Hi there,

Just signed upp and roll out instantly a question which I hope I can get an answer on. I am off in a couple of months to East Java more precisely Malang area and wonder if a GPRS connection is available, if so what are the charges ? I know I can access the net at Wartel but that's not the point.

Happy to get an answer.

Best regards

I use Indosat IM2. It will give you minimum GPRS and EDGE at 250kbps in some areas.
Note. A card will only be valid in the area you buy it. If you buy in central java it's not valid in east and west java and so on.
Cost - Rp1000,000/month

Fred, what do you mean with 'only be valid in the area you buy it'?

I have bought a IM2 card over a year ago, postpaid, in Yogyakarta. I have traveled to several locations in Indonesia and have recently moved to the Jakarta area but my IM2 is working without any problems in all area's (where there is coverage obviously).
