  • an impressive list indeed !!!

  • But .... with whoom are we going to adjust to ??? Do understand me ... I'm not one of those 'goodtalkers, what is wrong' we have got to see the issue in a right perspective ...... I think it is also an INDOnesian mentality problem .... no matter what problems you tackle, if the mentality is rotten the measurements do not count ..... would they ???
In INDOnesia mostly there is not a urge to keep main-te-nance high ..... the first person who is able to tackle to set this mentality in the minds of most of the INDOnesians deserves, as for me, an olympic gold medal ...... surely !!!

    Check this out...

    Good morning, Ladies and Gentlemen."
This is your captain speaking. Welcoming both seated and standing passengers on board of AdemAir. We apologize for the eight-days delay in taking off, it was due to bad weather and some overtime I had to put in at the bakery. This is flight 717 to Yogyakarta. Landing there is not guaranteed, but we will end up somewhere in Central Java. And, if luck is in our favor, we may even be landing on your village!

AdemAir has an excellent safety-record. In fact, our safety standards are so high, that even terrorists are afraid to fly with us! It is with pleasure; I announce that, starting this year, over 30% of our passengers have reached their destination.

If our engines are too noisy for you, on passenger request, we can arrange to turn them off! For our not-so-religious passengers, we are the only airline who can help you find out if there really is a God!

We regret to inform you, that today's in-flight movie will not be shown as we forgot to record it from the television. However, for our movie buffs, we will be flying right next to Garuda Indonesia Airways, where their movie will be visible from the right side of the cabin window.

There is no smoking allowed in this airplane. Any smoke you see in the cabin is only the early warning system on the engines telling us to slow down!

In order to catch important landmarks, we try to fly as close as possible to the ground for the best view. If however, we go a little too close, do let us know.

Our enthusiastic co-pilot sometimes flies right through the landmark! Kindly be seated, keep your seat in an upright position for take-off and fasten your seat-belt. For those of you who can't find a seat-belt, kindly fasten your own belt to the arm of your seat. And, for those of you who can't find a seat, do not hesitate to get in touch with a stewardess who will explain how to fasten yourself to your suitcase."

Enjoy AdemAir! Emoticon: Laugh out loud

    Unbeliebavle,

I was already a bit scared of taking domestic flights. I ususally take the train if possible. I agree that its an an INDOnesian mentality problem . Off course they banned indonesian ailiners into european territory. And the president is angry and is taken into consideration to ban european airinesrs in Indonesia as well. very childish indeed, that he really doesnt understand the real issue here after these facts.

Normal behaviour for a Javanese. It would be strange if the president wouldn't show this behaviour. Loosing face and not being able to accept any criticism.
Number 1 is not loosing face in RI (although probably a lot of people will be victim; they just don't care).

Indonesians do have a very relaxed attitude toward safety. How many people would use their seatbelts in Indonesia if there was not a law forcing them to do so? How many donít use them in spite of the law or donít use them while seated in the back seat? When I buckled up in a taxi the driver inquired whether I thought he was a poor driver.
