Here is says that if you want to apply for a stay of more than 30 days in indonesia you need to do it in your "own country". I've read similar things in other places.

Is this right, or is it also possible to apply for these visas in other countries? (eg malaysia, china, etc)

in my experience no problem to apply for 60 day visas in singapore or malaysia
it would be ridiculous to have to fly all the way back to your home country if you need a new visa

That's what i thought, but there were references to home country/own country whenever i looked into this... Thanks for the info

Wow - big thread! Thanks. It also links to this thread specifically on 60 day tourist visas... which i think are different from the 60 day social visit ones - less documentation & non-extendable, right?
