My next holiday, I want to try to make a long distance trip by motorbike. Of course I have to bring a motorbike and all the normal holiday-stuff, but are there special things to take into mind? Special things to arrange?

What I have is (at least)
- complete insurance in Holland
- motorbike
- normal holiday stuff
- drivers licence (or something like it.. whehe)
- partner (when I'm tired, you know.. )

These things just came up now.. please let me know.

make shure you choose a bike that get spare parts where ever you travel .....a Harley davidson or bmw is not a commen bike here in the east ..... ...
Also it.s not easy too get a foreign bike in too Indonesia For Indonesia its better too rent a motor bike or buy one and sell it again ....but for buying a bike you need a lndonesian for the STNK. a foreigner can not purchase that kind of goods for the full 100%.
A bit off a haslle ....

I don't import a bike, I will probably buy one there (not on my name indeed) so I can use it as long as I'm there. Afterwards I can probably hand it over to someone else.

I only have the intention to drive several 1000 kilometers, accept for Bali, because tourists are prone to police actions there. But that will be taken care of as well.

I don't want to rent one when travelling across a handfull of islands. Many rentals demand their bikes not to leave the island and after I have used the bike during my holiday, I can do 'charity' with it. When I come back, I can use it again!
