Sriwijaya Air leaves behind 200 passengers at airport
Published on 11 Augustus 2011 10:35
Where airlines like Lion Air and Batavia Air have been publicly criticized by the Indonesian government over their many delays, and state-owned airlines like Garuda Indonesia and Merpati Nusantasa seem to be perfect companies, Sriwijaya Air is also not looking to collect any bonus points this week.

Delays have a domino effect on connecting flights and hotel reservations. Indonesia is an established travel destination for overseas (and local) tourists. A bad reputation is sure to hit tourism. This problem needs to be addressed a.s.a.p. before it gets any worse.

Do you think that in recent times the delays are even better than before?
I'm looking for a statistics or a suitable article with information about former delays during the years to discuss this topic with friends, who don't believe me.

Batavia Air was declared bankrupt over a year ago, so that saves you time searching.

With overcrowded airports like Jakarta and Surabaya, but new airports like Medan Kuala Namu and the new terminal at Denpasar, delays are not only due to the airline for example.

Who cares? NOBODY cares. Especially not government officials. Remember: the people do still have a 3rd world mentality with a lot of self-interest.

Where airlines like Lion Air and Batavia Air have been publicly criticized by the Indonesian government over their many delays, and state-owned airlines like Garuda Indonesia and Merpati Nusantasa seem to be perfect companies....
Why perfect companies according to the government? Because every airport has the "silent" forced obligation to give these companies a priority.

Sriwijaya Air is not available for any decent explanation about the cause of these problems. There is not a single person that can tell us anything
That's normal overhere. It is impolite and not-done to tell bad news. Just be patient and wait.
