At least 28 killed after Mount Merapi violently erupts
Published on 27 October 2010 10:47
One of Indonesia's most active volcanoes spewed out clouds of ash and jets of searing gas on Wednesday in an eruption that has killed at least 28 people and injured 14. Tears and prayers for the victims of double tragedy in Solo and Mentawai areas. Why does Indonesia, a paradise of nice people have to suffer the wrath of mother nature year after year? Notwithstanding, they will always be my favorite country & people to visit, film and photograph. Emoticon: Sadley

According to the moslim hardliners this is the wrath of God which descends on the community because of her immoral behavior; a disgusting comment and opinion. It is already a nightmare and bad enough for the victims without these religious zealots and idiots overhere.
Nice touch is that today the publishing of the annual list of corruption by Transparency International shows that theocratic Islamic-ruled countries do have one of the worst scores on the list of most corrupt countries. Faith in Allah/God seems not to helps so much to moral decay, hehehe: Allah U'akbar (and believe in materialism).

Anyway, it's tragic; especially the tragedy on the Mentawai islands.

This morning I saw on television an Indonesian MP-member with the opinion that the impact of the disasters (tsunami, volcanic eruption) was the residents own fault if they decided to live along the coastline or on the slopes of a volcano. Unfortunately I didn't notice which political party he's a member of.
